PEACEWOMEN INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

FALL 2008 INTERNSHIPS

An opportunity to be involved in: research and writing; newsletter production; note taking and reporting for meetings in and around the UN; website development; event organizing and general office work. Also seeking interns for web development

HOW TO APPLY
Send resume, 1 page letter of motivation, including goals, relevant experience and days available, two contactable references and a writing sample of no more than 3 pages.

CONDITIONS
This unpaid internship requires a commitment of 14/16 hours per week for a minimum of 3 months. Long term internships are also available.

SKILLS NEEDED
Writing, researching and organizational skills, the ability to work independently, take responsibility and follow through and the ability to work in a team environment.

We are seeking individuals who approach international, regional and national peace and security in engendered and women-centered ways; Support women’s full and equal participation in decision-making at all levels; and support cooperation of the international community in confronting global concerns, including gender inequality and armed conflict.
