Three years ago, the Security Council took a bold stance on the role of women in adopting Reoslution 1325. It recognise that women and girls both bear the brunt of armed conflict and are integral to any lasting solution. The implication for peacekeeping operations are significant, and they call for a radical change in the way we do our work.
