In pursuant of United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolution 2056 (2012) and 27 August 2014 presidential statement of the Security Council (S/PRST/2014/17), the Secretary-General report provides a summary of the major developments in the Sahel region and a status update on the implementation of the United Nations Integrated Strategy for the Sahel (UNISS).
