The Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation has together with the EPLO-network consisting of over 70 non governmental organisations developed ten recommendations for the 10 years anniversary of the UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security.

The recommendations are addressed especially to the European Union and it's member states. It highlights decision makers role in strengthening the implementation of the resolution and the importance of reaching more stable results to address women's security and women's participation in peace processes.

According to the Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation these are the most important points:

On national level

Include a minimi standard in the national action plans for 1325 with clear objectives, budgetlines, and a responsibility distribution.
Involve relevant non governmental organisations in supervising and evaluating the action plans.
On EU-level

Earmark resources for women's ngo's working for peace and human rights in EU countries and in conflict affected countries.
Appoint a high-level representative for issues on Women, Peace and Security.
Ensure that the new European External Action Service (EEAS) contributes to further implementation of Security Council Resolution 1325 and related resolutions, and functions in line with Women, Peace and Security commitments.
