This side event creates a forum for Member State, UN and civil society stakeholders to focus on the prevention and participation pillars of the Women, Peace and Security agenda and on women's rights, voices and experiences in the Ukraine. The current military tensions have put women's rights and participation increasingly at risk. This side event will feature contributions from women's leader Natalia Karbowska from Ukraine and academic expert Grigore Pop-Eleches on how to address gender, peace and security issues in this situation. Discussions will also include recommendations on conflict prevention and how to strengthen women's full and equal participation in shaping Ukraine's future.
