Join the Perth YUNWA for their Women, Peace and Security Workshop

Please join the Young UN Women Australia Perth Chapter for an interactive workshop on Women, Peace and Security. This interactive program will teach you about gender based violence in wartime, the international agenda for women, peace and security and the Australian National Action Plan on women, peace and security. Three specially trained YUNWA Perth Chapter members will lead you through key modules using group‐based activities and multimedia.

Time: 8.45am-12pm, Saturday 13th July 2013

Location: Office of the Commissioner for Children and Young People,

Ground Floor, 1 Alvan Street, Subiaco

Cost: Free, but you must register by 11 July at perthyouth@unwomen.org.au

The workshop will be of particular interest to university students, (especially those studying international relations, law, and development), local women's groups, and members of the AFP, Defence, and Police community.

Materials and morning tea will be provided.
