SOMALIA: COGWO Says: 'Who Knows Role of the Somali Women for the Peace?'

High decorated ceremony organized by the organization of the Somali women known as COGWO that focused on the role of the women for the peace and development of the Somali society took place in the capital Mogadishu on Monday.

Many more guests from the organizations of the Somali women with other well-known and respected people had attended at the occasion which most of COGWO officials and other attendees explained more about the peace, stability and restoration of the order of Somalia.

COGWO as a network is managed by general assembly and has eleven board members with the responsibility of policy formation and guidance of the organization. At program level COGWO is administrated by the management team headed by the executive director, one program coordinator, department program officers, one administrator and finance director.

Maryan Ahmed Hilowle, one of the officials of Cogwo organization gave brief comment over the responsibility of their organization COGWO in the peace saying that COGWO was established in 1996 for the implementation of the peace and stability of Somalia. She said the organization played crucial role for the development of the peace in Somalia.

Mrs. Asho Omar Gesdir, the chairman of the national Somali women organization has prolonged talking about value of the women in the population pointing out that all the Somali women were required to unite and collaborate together to reach success and development of the country.

The honorable gusts attended in the ceremony including the Olympic Association, organizations of Banadir region had lastly agreed that the women were the most important key for the development of the peace, stability and order of the Somalia.
