To fight the phenomenon of violence against women, Adovcates for Human Rights, with support from the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) and the Open Society Institute's Network Women's Program, have developed the Stop Violence against Women website (STOPVAW).

The website aims to be a forum for information, advocacy and change, as well as a tool for the promotion of women's human rights in countries of Central and Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union.

STOPVAW focuses on four areas: domestic violence, sexual assault, sexual harassment and trafficking of women.
