WORKSHOP: 3 Day Workshop on WPS under the Great Lakes Region Opens in Lusaka

A three day workshop on peace, security and women affairs under the Great Lakes Region has opened in Lusaka. The workshop is a preliminary meeting ahead of the Great Lakes summit of Heads of States and Governments which will be held on Wednesday.
Delegates from all member states are attending the workshop which is being held at Mulungushi International Conference center.

Ambassador Liberata Mulamula who is Executive Secretary of the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region has since urged member states to work towards combating violence against women and children.
