Statement of ALGERIA at UNGA73

I would now like to conclude without underscoring the efforts made by national authorities with regard to the most recent constitutional reform, which benefits all sectors of the population, with regard to the rights of women and their empowerment and the integration of young people into the social and economic systems. These efforts have led to Algeria’s recognition by the international community in regard to human rights as well as stability and security. We are honoured by this progress, and reassured on the global stage.

Algeria supports the irrevocable rights of the Palestinian people, including the right to establish an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital. We desire a end to this conflict that has been tearing the middle east apart for 70 years.
