NCP MP Supriya Sule along with her other colleagues will launch a campaign to make rural women financially stronger. The drive to empower woman will kick start from Nashik on June 11.
During this campaign women self help group will be given special training on quality, packaging and marketing of the eatables these group make, stated the release issued by Vishwas Thakur, one of Sule's colleague in the campaign. "Nearly 1,500 women from 35 districts of Maharashtra are expected to attend the workshop that will be concluded on June 15," the release added.
Interestingly the workshop for the self group organised by NCP chief Sharad Pawar's daughter-Supriya will be inaugurated by deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar.
Earlier union agriculture minister Pawar's daughter-Supriya had launched campaign to save the girl child in Maharashtra.
