Journalist Christina Asquith Talks about Women in Iraq and Afghanistan Post 9/ll

Christina Asquith comes to Nichols to share her insights as an award-winning journalist who covered the war in Iraq for The New York Times, Economist, and The Guardian. She is the author of Sisters in War: Love, Survival and Family in the New Iraq about her work behind the scenes (and the veil) with Iraqi women. She is also the Director of the Afghan Women's Writing Project, a non-profit organization giving voice to many women living in silence under less than ideal conditions.
