Gender and Disarmament

Gender refers to socially constructed ideas that attribute meaning to and differentiate between the sexes. Ideas about gender affect the way people and societies view weapons, war, and militarism.

This panel will explore the gendered impacts of weapons and gendered nature of disarmament discussions.
