Political dialogue is the only means by which Burma's existing political conflicts can be effectively resolved. To that end, the military government- the State Peace and Development Council (SPDC)- must immediately and unconditionally release all political prisoners including, but not limited to, U Tin Oo, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, Khun Htun Oo, Sai Nyunt Lwin, Ven. U Gambira, Min Ko Naing, Ko Ko Gyi, Min Zeya and Htay Kywe, in the first instance. We, the undersigned, call upon the Burmese military government to immediately and unconditionally release all political prisoners.
