The purpose of the Roundtables was to create an opportunity for Afghan-Canadian women to participate in consultations regarding the
implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 in Afghanistan, and to empower these women to play a more active role in the peacebuilding and reconstruction efforts in Afghanistan.
