“In a month we will celebrate the fifteenth anniversary of resolution 1325 of the Security Council on women, peace and security, uncovering the results of the global study on its implementation. Unfortunately we are sadly too familiar with devastating consequences for conflict women who are the first victims when they are not the instigators. With children, they also constitute the majority of refugees and displaced persons. Convinced of the importance of full participation of women in conditions of equality, prevention and resolution of conflicts and the building and maintenance of peace, we therefore call for the implementation of concrete measures.”
