Tackling Sexual Violence in Conflict: An Integrated Approach

In partnership with the UK Gender Action for Peace and Security Network and Women for Women International

On the 16thanniversary of the UN Security Council’s women, peace and security agenda, one year since the High Level Review of its progress, and six months since the report of the House of Lords select committee and the Government’s response, this panel will bring together expertise, experience and evidence on ending sexual violence in conflict.

The UK’s National Action Plan on women, peace and security will be renewed in 2017. Reflecting on progress since the High Level Review and recommendations from the select committee, how might the next National Action Plan differ? Can efforts to tackle sexual violence in conflict be more effectively integrated into wider commitments on women, peace and security?
