Please join the Boulder branch of the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom to celebrate two important anniversaries:
1 - The 150th birthday of Jane Addams -- a founder of the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom and Nobel Peace Laureate.
2 - The tenth anniversary of U.N. Resolution 1325, which calls for women's equal participation in U.N. peacemaking work.

The event will feature a talk by Terry Greenblatt, executive director of the Urgent Action Fund (UAF) for Women, on "Global Women's Activism: Navigating the Road to Peace at the Speed of Non-Violence." Terry's talk will be followed by a reception and Women's Peace Meet-Up where we'll learn about women's peace work in the Boulder area and around the world.

WHEN: Sunday, September 12, 2010 at 7:00 PM

WHERE: Boulder Friends Meeting House, 1825 Upland Ave, Boulder, CO

About Terry Greenblatt: Before joining UAF in 2008, Terry Greenblatt served as a women's rights and peace and justice activist in Israel for over 20 years.
