Report of Secretary-General S/2011/759 (9 December 2011): Assesses the progress made in carrying out the United Nations Strategy for Somalia, as well as its implementation of the roadmap for ending the transition.

• The report attends to acts of sexual violence and rape, as well as other humanitarian concerns regarding women and girls in Somalia.

• The report does not incorporate women, peace and security concerns in assessment of the Somali Political Situation, Security Situation, Coordination, and Resource Mobilization.

• The report makes a brief mention of the role women should play in the transition process.
