WPS Lecture Series: Women, Peace and Security - A Critical Component of the Post-2015 Development Agenda

Armed conflicts pose a major obstacle to development. In modern day conflicts, women often bear the brunt of their effects. Early investment in development allows countries to recover more quickly once a conflict is over. At the same time, investing in women's potential has proven to boost development efforts. The Women, Peace and Security agenda is therefore intrinsically linked to the post-2015 development agenda and the SDGs.
