Implementation

The Security Council visited Ethiopia from 5 to 9 September in Addis Ababa. The purpose of the Council’s visit to Addis Ababa was to strengthen partnership and enhance cooperation between the United Nations and the African Union in the areas of peace and security. It was undertaken within the framework of cooperation between the United Nations Security Council and the African Union Peace and Security Council under Chapter VIII of the Charter of the United Nations.
