Statement of PERU at the UNGA73

Protection: We give special importance to end violence and discrimination against women.

Human Rights: Our objective is to overcome the structural inequalities that women and girls face in Peru, guarantee their human rights and empower them so they can free their full potential and development.

Justice: Our great biodiversity is the main natural resource with which our men and women rely on and for that reason, changes in temperature and extreme disasters such as droughts and heavy rains put them in a special situation of vulnerability.

Implementation: We are also one of the few countries who have created a Plan of Action on Gender and Climate Change, since women are the most vulnerable among the vulnerable.
