The NGO Working Group on Women, Peace and Security has released the May 2011 version of the Monthly Action Points (MAP) on Women, Peace and Security for the UN Security Council. For May, in which France has the Security Council presidency, the MAP provides recommendations on country situations including: Chad/Central African Republic, Cote d'Ivoire, Cyprus, Democratic Republic of Congo, Iraq, Middle East and North Africa, Sri Lanka, The May MAP also discusses current developments in the Council's discussion of Protection of Civilians, and ongoing issues regarding the implementation of all Women, Peace and Security commitments.
