The NGOWG on Women, Peace and Security recently hosted Josephine Ngalula Kabeya, the National President of the Forum de la Femme Ménagère (FORFEM), from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) at UN Headquarters for a series of discussions with policy makers on the expected renewal of the MONUSCO mandate.

In meetings with Security Council members, Member States, United Nations representatives, and NGO advocates, Ms. Ngalula Kabeya discussed key challenges facing women in the DRC, and made recommendations for the UN, the Security Council and international community on how to address these challenges.
