Issues of women, peace and security were referenced on one occasion by the Permanent Representative of Libya regarding thirty-two of the
future General National Congress seats being reserved for women.
Missed opportunities to references issues of women, peace and security included the lack of a gender lens in the discussion of the number of
migrants, asylum-seekers and female refugees who often suffer prolonged detention and are subject to human trafficking.
