This is a Special Report written by the Kroc Institute and the International Accompaniment Component, UN Women, Women’s International Democratic Federation, and Sweden, on the Monitoring of the Gender Perspective in the Implementation of the Colombian Final Peace Accord.

This report presents an analysis of the implementation process of the gender perspective in the Final Agreement to End the Armed Conflict and Build a Stable and Lasting Peace between December 2016 and June 2018. The Embassy of Sweden, the Women’s International Democratic Federation (FDIM), and the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), together with the Barometer Initiative of the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies of the University of Notre Dame, published this report based on the information gathered in the monitoring process that each of these organizations carries out. Each entity analyzed the 2016 final peace agreement through a gender perspective and highlighted the gender provisions. With their analysis, the FDIM created demands, basic needs and strategic interests of women in the process of social, political, and economic reincorporation, and worked to verify the level of progress in terms of compliance with the Final Agreement on this matter.
