Description: 

In 2015 the Committee on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women will meet for the following sessions:

  • Session 63: During October to November of 2015, the CEDAW Committee will consider state reports for Lebanon, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Portugal, Russian Federation, Slovakia, Slovenia, Timor-Leste, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, and Yemen.
  • Session 61: During July of 2015, the CEDAW Committee will consider state reports for Bolivia, Croatia, Gambia, Namibia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Senegal, Spain, and Viet Nam.
  • Session 60: During February 16- March 6 of 2015, the CEDAW Committee will consider state reports for Azerbeijan, Denmark, Ecuador, Eritrea, Gabon, Kyrgystan, Maldives, and Tuvalu.
Highlight: 

WILPF’s engagement with the CEDAW Committee is led by our Human Rights Program, which works with sections and partners to advocate, provide shadow reports, and monitor for gender and disarmament issues.
