Key Gaps

What are the key gaps?

  1. Failure to address the women, peace and security agenda in a holistic manner throughout all efforts of the Council;
  2. Failure to prevent the transfer of weapons produced in the Kingdom to conflict-affected countries;
  3. Lack of an estimated/allocated budget in its 1325 National Action Plan’s budget;
  4. Failure to address the lack of gender sensitivity in its asylum procedures by mainstreaming gender issues;
  5. Lack of efforts to meaningfully engage women, including women from minority groups, at all levels of the political arena.
